Adam DeCobray is the original identity of Cobra Commander in the television series, "G.I. Joe Renegades". He appears in the original events of the Disney vs. Non-Disney Villains War, which explains the origins of that tournament.

Pre War: Cooperating with the Quarrymen[]
Prior to the events of the first war, Adam DeCobray seeks to make a profit in the Cobra Industries. Though Doctor Mindbender shows his latest invention, the Vio-Vipers, Destro exclaims his disgust over this project. However, Adam silences him, explaining the reason of putting Destro into the Cobra Industries. Adam then heads off to meet with the society of the Quarrymen, whom he believes he would make a profit, if they would sell weapons to the society, despite Destro's fearfull thoughts about the faction.
Injured[]
Later, Adam DeCobray gives weapons to the Quarrymen, as they seek to destroy the Gargoyles' existence from this world. However, Demona has other plans for them and bursts into the Cobra Industries, confronting Adam personally. When Adam sends his soldiers to deal with the gargoyle, Demona blasts them away. Before Adam would raise a weapon, Demona scratches his right part of his face, injuring him badly, and then sets ablaze the whole building. Adam survives the explosion and he is taken later by Zartan and the Dreadnoks.
New Face, New Personality[]
When Zartan delivers Adam at the Cobra Industries, Dr. Mindbender performs a surgery that it would keep Adam to life. However, because of breath loss, Mindbender builds his a respirator mask, that would allow him to breath. Adam then changes his name, as he renames himself Cobra Commander.
