Batty Koda is one of the main protagonists of the animated feature film, Ferngully: The Last Rainforest, and it's subsequent appearance, Ferngully: The Magical Rescue. A massive Mega-Bat, Batty Koda serves as the comic relief of the movie and also as the helpful adviser to his fairy friends, including Crysta and Pips. Though keeping a distance with the humans, Batty Koda, seemingly, welcomed the human Zak Young into their group in order to stop the malevolent spirit, Hexxus from spreading his influence in the universe, eventually gaining his trust among them. When the forces of evil threaten the Ferngully Rainforest, during the events of Heroes vs. Villains War, Batty Koda is one of the main heroes, who make a stand against the threat.
