Gaston is the main villain of Beauty and the Beast and a secondary character in all three main tournaments.

A cruel, vain, and thuggish hunter, he is usually seen working for Frollo as one of his top generals.

Beginnings

One thing very few people know is that Frollo had a brother. The main reason so few people know this is because Frollo hates talking about it. Jehan Frollo was an over-indulging drinker. He spent his days drinking and fighting at the local bar. Frollo highly resented his brother, and refused to associate with him.

One fateful night, Jehan met a mysterious, loose woman named Narissa at the bar. He went back to her home with her, and spent the night with her. He didn't return. However, not too long after that night, Narissa found herself pregnant. Narissa ultimately decided she would kill the child after she bore him. However, upon his birth, Narissa was surprised to find the child was physically flawless, a beautiful child. "Hmm... must be my good genes." Narissa figured. Feeling proud of her 'creation', Narissa decided not to kill the baby. However, she knew she didn't want to take care of him.

Narissa, aware that the baby's father was the brother of the Judge of Paris, took on the disguise of an old lady, and took the baby to Frollo. Frollo was aware Jehan was missing, and, after nine months, assumed he was dead. Narissa told Frollo that Jehan stumbled drunk into the woods and was eaten by wolves, a story Frollo didn't have a hard time believing.

Narissa handed Frollo his own nephew, claiming she was too old to care for him herself. Frollo reluctantly accepted the baby, and named him Gaston, which was a French name for a city in France named Gascony, where Jehan loved to drink.

Frollo wasn't terribly kind to Gaston. From an early childhood, Frollo insisted that he wasn't his real father, and that his real father was a useless drunk. The closest thing Gaston had to a real father was Frollo's associate, John Ratcliffe, who often greeted the young Gaston with a piece of gold to spend in the French marketplace. Gaston often sought solace in the yearly Festival of Fools. As he grew into a young adult, Gaston remained remarkably handsome. He often attracted a lot of attention from women, much to Frollo's envy. However, Gaston only had eyes fro a woman around the town named Belle.

When he became old enough, Gaston gleefully left home. With his father's love of drinking and parties, but his mother's intelligence and looks, Gaston was very popular.

Before long, Frollo requested Gaston assist him in a war, hearing of his impressive skills in hunting."So, now you appreciate me, Uncle Frollo?" Gaston, at first, didn't want to help his abusive uncle. But, upon realizing that Frollo would become king of the world upon victory, Gaston accepted the position, as it occurred to him that after Frollo dies, he was his closest relative, and would take the throne himself.

Pre-War: Hearing Rumours

Gaston appears in the prequel, as one of the witnesses, who learned of Frollo's sexual assault with Enrico Maxwell's mother. He does not reappear in the prequel, after this incident.

VS Drake

Gaston first learns of the war from Ratcliffe, who hires him to kill a penguin named Drake that has been sabotaging Frollo's ships on the seas near the Artic. When Gaston arrives, he is taken aback by Drake's size. He first attempts to kill him wih an arrow as Drake tries to tackle him. Drake survives, and attempts to crush Gaston with a boulder. The hunter moves quickly, and stabs Drake with his knife. The brutish penguin then falls to his death, and Gaston takes Drake's head as a trophy. 

Saving the Leader

Afer his success against Drake, Ratcliffe asks Gaston to join Frollo's ranks. He accepts, and during a later meeting, saves Frollo's life by knocking down Ruber with a magic tipped arrow. However, Ruber escapes, becoming the greatest threat to Frollo's faction.

The Rival

For some time, Gaston merely attends meetings. One night, however, Gaston spends some leisure time at the bar of Carface and Cat R. Waul. There, a brute named Tyler enters and stars abusing the barflies. Gaston, annoyed with the intruder, shoots Tyler several times, not aware that Rothbart would revive the warrior later. He then attends the meeting where Frollo announces his intentions to attack, and is later seen calling an angry mob to battle.

Death at the Battle of France

During the battle of France, Gaston  learns that Tyler is still alive. Hoping to finsh the job once and for all. he fires a shot, but tt accidentally kills Lambert, Tyler's second-in-command. He the atempts to fight Tyler hand to hand, but, Tyler's fighting skills outmatch Gaston's, and Tyler angrily knocks him off a cliff to his death.

A Monster

Gaston's stay in the Underworld is less than pleasant. However, his continued complaining piques the interest of the Lord of the Dead himself, Hades. Gaston asks to be revived: a request to which Hades, surprisingly, acquiesces. However, so to give the hunter a "test run," he has his associate, Dr. Facilier, turn Gaston into a monster.

Fighting Against Royalty

Gaston enters a battle against Queen Chrysalis and King Sombra on Hades's behalf; Echidna's children have previously failed to defeat these two opponents. With a few fireballs, Gaston utterly destroys Sombra. Queen Chrysalis proves a bit more of a challenge, as she actively attacks Gaston. Gaston, however, absorbs her fire balls and knocks her halfway across the planet with an attack of his own.

Back for Blood

As a reward, Hades transforms Gaston back into a human. Gaston and Facilier later hire Lady Waltham to help them, the sister of the deceased hunter, Clayton. During the ensuing Battle of the Underworld, Gaston shoots aside Eris's minion, Ember, with his blunderbuss. However, he is on the receiving end of a shot from Skulker, Ember's boyfriend. Though he is nearly knocked into one of the Underworld's pits, Gaston survives the fight.

An Employer Returns

Hades grants Gaston leave to open up business on Earth. Gaston, inspired by Cat R. Waul and Carface's business model, sets up his own pub. Two of his old allies, Captain Hook and Ratcliffe, become regular patrons. One night, however, Frollo, back from the dead, barges into the bar. He calls his old alliance together, ready to reassert his presence in the war.

Music and Mayhem

Frollo hears of Gaston's strength; seeing a potential henchman, he hires Gaston to take out Forte, just as a formal test of his abilities. Gaston breaks into the Beast's castle, where Forte lives, and nocks an arrow to take the pipe organ out. But Forte knocks him down with a powerful blast of magical music. Gaston hefts a massive stone club and smashes it into Forte's keys; not only does the strike incapacitate Forte's attacks, but it also ruptures the very integrity of Forte's foundation. The organ collapses to the ground, destroyed.

The Battle of England

Gaston is one of Frollo's most efficient soldiers during the Battle of England, using his arrows to fell several of Prince John's men.

Death

Gaston becomes known for his revelry after the success of the Battle of England. Queen Narissa takes note of this, turns into an old woman, and convinces Gaston to head to an old castle. As Gaston searches through the castle, he is shocked to find the old woman yet again. Though he laughs her off, the laughter turns into fear as the woman pushes him off the roof to his death.

Vs Pain and Panic

The Underworld rebellion continued. Gaston decided to take this opportunity to escape back to the land of the living. The only things standing in way to freedom were Pain and Panic. At the sight of Gaston, Pain and Panic fled into the shadows. As Gaston egged them on to fight, they merged together into a large beast and charged into Gaston, knocking him back. Gaston recovered and hit them on the heads with a club. He then hit them again with the club knocking them down. As Gaston taunted them, Pain and Panic defused and turned into snakes. While Gaston hunted for them, Pain and Panic attempted to ambush him but Gaston grabbed them and threw them a distance away, allowing him to make his escape. As Panic became worried about what would happen when Facilier found out what had happened, Pain suggested that they make sure he doesn't find out.

Attacked by Horned King's Forces

But at that moment, Gaston arrived and shot several of the Cauldron Born down with his blunderbuss. Monkey Fist then kicked some of Macbeth's allies from the castle walls. Lady Tremaine then used her magic to send molten metal raining down, forcing Monkey Fist and Gaston to retreat.

Disney Vs Marvel Villains War

Count Nefaria, the leader of the Maggia, hopes to assimilate Gaston's gang of villagers into the Maggia. To arrange the alliance, Nefaria sends his daughter, Madame Mask, to discuss the terms with Gaston. Gaston's narcisism ultimately gets the better of him, and he ends up mocking Mask for hiding her face behind a mask. This action comes back to haunt Gaston, as Mask, now intent upon killing Gaston, returns with magical powers. She burns down Gaston's pub, forcing him outside. Gaston tries to shoot Mask out of the sky, but she deflects his arrows. She then knocks him off a cliff with her magic.

A mission

In Paris Ratcliffe sends Gaston on an important mission, that Gaston agrees to do it.

Vs Rouge

Gaston decides to start his mission defeating a jewel thief to prove his useful for Ractliffe. Gaston puts a trap for none other than Rouge the bat at first Gaston tries to join her in Ratcliffe's team, the bat knowing that Gaston wanted to capture her Rouge attack's. But what will win the brains or the brute force?

At a funeral

Back in Russia Frollo and Gaston finds the queen's body, now with her wife gone Frollo starts with his funeral along his son and General Ratcliffe. As the funeral is over someone's heart has been broken crying for his beautiful queen.

Battle with Devimon's Forces

Frollo launches a full scale siege on Devimon's Fortress desiring the death of all the digital monsters. But at the same time Mercurymon has prepared himself for this moment and with the powers of Chernabog starts calling all kinds of demons as he brings an un death army to defeat his opponents, but as both forces clash new forces arrive to take down Mercurymon for his actions.

Teaming with Hook

At the Jolly Roger Gaston (who survived the fight.) wants to avenge his death parents, as Hook realize that in order to avenge the Queen and Judge must join forces, Gaston agrees.

In the Jolly Roger, the Magic Mirror show to Hook and Gaston about the King's ceremony, Gaston still infuriated of having done nothing in a Year, hopefully Hook starts his plan in action as the Witches of Morva appear and the good old pirate has a deal they'll surely take.

Carface meets up with Gaston, and decides to reward him if he can defeat Ash and his friends personally.

Vs Entei

Hoping to defeat Ash Ketchum and his friends for Carface, Gaston suddenly stumbles across a Pokémon beast known as Entei, and asks if he could use his help. Entei rejects his offer, and with no choice, Gaston decides to fight him. But Entei isn't that weak enough to go down.

Vs Sigma

Frollo, watching the war from afar, hired Gaston to take out Sigma. With the judge seeing robots as unholy creations, and this one being quite dangerous. Gaston accepted the mission and went out to take care of Sigma. Gaston pulled a piece of rock loose to use as a club but Sigma swung his energy sword, knocking Gaston off balance. Gaston quickly recovered and hit Sigma with the club but to no effect. As Gaston taunted him, Sigma moved back to create some distance between them. Sigma leaped at Gaston, sword drawn but Gaston shot him with an arrow, knocking off one of Sigma's arms. Gaston then beat Sigma to the ground with his club.

Vs Double

Frollo hears word that there is a nun speaking heresy about a trinity and decided the blasphemous nun should be burned at the stake. He convinces Gaston to gather a group to go after this nun and destroy her church, but things won't be easy as they think. This nun is a shapeshifter known only as Double who can copy attacks and powers from other villains. Can Frollo and Gaston defeat her?

Villains War: The Age of Animation

Born to be Strong

Even before the "Re-Painting," Gaston has had quite a bizarre life, living within a village so close to the forest, and striving on becoming one of the strongest creatures within it, wresting and hunting various creates like Deer, Cougars, Jaguars and even Bears, becoming progressively more buff and praised within the village. Gaston is one of the few characters shown within a Live Action form before the "Re-Painting" occurs, as he doesn't seem to find anything out of the ordinary at first, largely due to his already seemingly cartoony life.

Hunting for Partners

Gaston appears within the end of a battle between the poacher McLeach, and a Killer Tiger, shooting him down with a shotgun. McLeach is impressed by some of Gaston's other achievements, and offers to split the money he makes off each hunt. Gaston agrees and forges a partnership with McLeach.

An Unexpected Arrival

As McLeach and Gaston are discussing other ways to make money off hunting animals, Alameda Slim offers a spot within their ranks. Neither seem impressed nor interested in his methods however, and Gaston in particular recommends sending him off to hunt the dreaded Backson within the woods to see if Slim is a worthy hunter.

Surprising Success

Despite it seeming impossible, Slim returns with the pelt of the Backson in tow, as McLeach seems impressed and lets him join the faction. Gaston on the other hand, simply sees a weaker hunter than him, and introduces two new allies, Elmer Fudd, and older yet wiser and more knowledgeable hunter, and Yosemite Sam, the roughest, toughest outlaw that crossed the Rio Grande, who seems to have a bit of a beef with Slim.

Freed

In recent years, Maleficent, her soul damned to the Underworld after her death, managed to recover enough of her power to access the palace of Hades, the god of the dead. Having gotten Hades' attention, Maleficent told him that she had been planning a scheme to gather the forces of darkness throughout the world to usher in a new age of evil.

Hunting some deers

In a French tavern, the hunters Gaston and Percival C. McLeach swapped stories. Gaston told McLeach about his first kill, but was unaware of the suffering he had truly caused. Several years ago, the young fawn Bambi and his mom were out foraging for grass when Gaston spotted them while hunting. Gaston readied his bow and arrow, but Bambi's mother heard him and she and Bambi ran for shelter as Gaston fired and missed. As the two deer continued to run, Gaston moved in closer and took out his blunderbuss. He fired several shots with his gun, killing Bambi's mom. Bambi looked on in remorse as Gaston claimed his kill, before Bambi's father, the Great Prince of the Forest came and guided Bambi to safety. As Gaston finished his story, he showed McLeach he still had Bambi's mother's head mounted on the tavern wall, along with many other hunting trophies.

Meeting Scar and Shere Khan

Back at Pride Rock, Scar and Shere Khan were surprised to find the humans Mcleach, Gaston, the cattle rustler Alameda Slim, and the poacher Clayton had driven off the remaining lionesses who were still loyal to Mufasa and Simba on Maleficent's orders. The hunters departed, leaving Scar and Khan in control of Pride Rock, though Mcleach warned the cats that Maleficent had given them permission to hunt them down if they made trouble with her human allies.

Vs Hercules

In Thebes, Hercules was searching for more heroes to add to their alliance, unaware that Gaston and his partner LeFou were also there, with Gaston looking to flirt with Megara, Hercules' girlfriend. However, Megara turned down Gaston's advances, only in town looking for Hercules. Angry at the rejection, Gaston confronted Hercules and challenged the confused demigod. Sucker-punching Hercules, Gaston managed to knock the hero down. Phil called to Hercules to use his head and, taking the advice literally, Hercules charged into Gaston head-first, knocking him into a puddle of mud. The citizens laughed at Gaston's misfortune, and Hercules departed with Meg, leaving Gaston humiliated.

Vs Beast Forces

In the Palace of Justice, Frollo continued his rants against Maleficent, to the annoyance of Captain Hook and the Queen of Hearts, who were growing restless and felt Frollo needed to act. At that moment, Gaston and Amos Slade arrived at McLeach's behest, telling Frollo that the Beast's group had been spotted in the area, and Quasimodo was with them. Frollo decided to ambush the group, much to Hook and the Queen's delight. As the villain forces surrounded the Beast's party, Frollo congratulated Quasimodo for leading his friends into Frollo's clutches. Gaston then came after Quasimodo but the Beast rushed in to help and struggled with the hunter. Quasimodo assisted the Beast in subduing Gaston.As he and the others moved in to protect the Beast, Quasimodo called Frollo out on his hypocrisy and cruelty. Even so, it seemed to be a lost cause, as Frollo's soldiers moved in to either capture or kill the heroes, when a bolt of magic suddenly teleported the group away.

Meeting with Scar and Shere Khan

At his hideout in the Pride Lands, McLeach and his hunting party discussed the fall of Ratcliffe. As if the defeat of their ally wasn't bad enough, it also turned out the fine print on the permit Alameda Slim had gotten from Winkie only permitted hunting in the forests of the Native Land which, thanks to the Firebird, had all been burned to the ground. At that moment, Scar and Shere Khan arrived with orders from Maleficent. Though McLeach was reluctant to accept any more work from Maleficent given how the war had been going, Scar promised them the opportunity for the hunt of a lifetime. Scar explained that Maleficent was planning to unleash the Firebird once again in order to summon Chernabog; McLeach and his hunters were to drive the forest animals into the Pride Land jungles while Scar's forces kept them from escaping. When the Firebird arrived, it would destroy the jungle and all the animals inside as a sacrifice to Chernabog. The hunters would have until the sun set to enjoy their hunt and take down as many of the animal heroes as they could before making their escape. Scar also told them that if they came across the Spring Sprite, they were to kill her on sight to prevent her from banishing the Firebird from the mortal plane again. Though McLeach didn't trust Scar, he agreed that his band had been idle for too long, and decided to follow through with the plan. As the hunters departed, Amos Slade pondered the strange events this hunting trip had brought and wondered just what he had gotten himself into.

Battle of Forces of Nature

In the Native Lands, McLeach and his hunters massed in force, chasing the animal heroes into the Pride Lands. Caught by surprise, the heroes could do nothing but run for cover. Seeing the chase begin, Nuka and Vitani set the savannah alight to begin the ritual.

As Bambi fled through the jungle, he was confronted by a nightmare from his past: Gaston, the man who had killed his mother. Though Gaston was surprised to see Bambi had apparently not aged a day since their last encounter, he was determined to finish the job. As Slade moved in to assist Gaston with a group of hunting dogs, the Prince of the Forest arrived to protect Bambi and kicked Slade away. While the Prince fought off the dogs, he told Bambi to run, but Gaston gave chase. As Bambi climbed up a cliff, Gaston cut off his escape and prepared to kill the fawn with a club. Just as Gaston readied the killing blow, Bambi mustered the courage to fight back, kicking Gaston off the cliff to his death.

Vs Drake

The judge Claude Frollo recruits the hunter Gaston, in hopes that he would be helpful as he accepts. As his first job, Gaston has to get rid of a threat: the penguin Drake. Can he take out this brute?

Vs Forte

After his success against Drake, Gaston is sent by Frollo yet again to dispose of another treat. The treat that must be eliminated is none other than Maestro Forte, who lives in a castle and scares everyone who stands in his way. Will the hunter succeed again?

Recruting Hook

Frollo is happy of Gaston's latest successions in taking out Drake and Forte. The judge finds more happiness when Gaston recruited an ally Captain Hook.

Gaston who was humiliated by Belle gets a visit from Tzekel Khan who offers his services to take out Beast and kidnap Belle.

With Gaston and Tzekel Kan they made a deal to take care of each others enemies so Gaston starts his part of his deal and now Gaston goes to capture the two gold collectors with his men can the duo escape?

Gaston was telling everyone from his town his new career as a soldier for Frollo until Baron Zemo arrives to kill him,because he wants to give Gaston as an example for Frollo to not mess with Germany.After Baron Zemo finished his speech,Gaston kicked Baron Zemo to the ground,mocking the baron at the same time.While Gaston was monologuing about his victory,Zemo managed to grab a sword from the ground.Gaston then attempts to hurt Baron Zemo ho just dodged all his attack.However,Demona used her blaster to shoot Zemo down to the ground.As Gaston was ready to kick Baron Zemo out of the club,Demona challenged into a fight.Gaston managed to hit Demona neck,breaking her controlling device.After she was freed,Demona grabbed Gaston neck and attempts to break it until Gaston begged for his life and that he would help her to kill Zemo instead.Demona agreed with that offer.Baron Zemo managed to recover himself only to realise that Demona and Gaston cornered him.Zemo then threw some bombs next to his opponents.Both Gaston and Demona noticed the bombs and left the club before it could explode.After Gaston and Demona left,the club exploded,managing to give Baron Zemo a perfect opportunity to escape from Paris.

In France in an inn there is a party in honor of Gaston, a very esteemed person and known above all for his strength, at that moment Amanda Waller arrives who needs someone with muscles to become part of her team, to Gaston would love to join Waller's team, but there may be another person known for his strength to want to join the team, so Gaston and Bane decide to fight to decide who will join the team.

Goopy Le Grande is terrorizing a town leaving Gaston and LeFou to hunt it down. Gaston tries to shoot it but the blob avoids the gunshot before knocking him into a puddle of mud. LeFou and the rest of Gaston's Angry Mob try to deal with the creature but some of them including LeFou get knocked out. Then Goopy frightens the Mob away. Gaston recovers but gets pushed aside. The hunter uses his strength to stun the creature before shooting him down. Gaston and Lefou celebrate their victory.

After the battle with the Mysterious Stranger, Bhunivelze sends Frollo and Gaston back in the animated world to conquer it in his name under the suggestion of YHVH.

In a Pub near Notre Dame, a new player feels disgraced because of this ongoing war and because that he is doing nothing in war. However he is encountered by a survived Frollo who wants Gaston to aid him against Morgaine le Fay.

Klarion introduces Wotan to his secret employer, Morgaine Le Fay. At the same time she sends Klarion to take care of one of Frollo's men, coming to attack the sorceress. The ally? Gaston himself.

Teaming with Captain Hook

Gaston, disgraced from his defeat, decides to inform Frollo about Morgaine's new ally, but he's surprised by Captain Hook, who wants to help them. At first the captain of the guards doesn't care about his offer, but when Hook reveals interesting details about Morgaine, Gaston reconsiders his offer.
