Sigma is the primary antagonist of the Mega Man X series of video games. A Reploid Hunter that has "gone maverick," Sigma's main goal is to take over the world and eliminate all human life. Sigma is a secondary player in the Animated Vs Video Game Villains War and the Video Game Villains War.

Vs Bugzzy
While out on patrol, Sigma and his crew are attacked by the monstrous Bugzzy, who mistakes Sigma for one of Dr. Wily's Robot Masters. Sigma has his men attack the monster, but they are unable to stop its advance. Sigma quickly disarms his foe, but the insectoid being soon generates some new weapons. Sigma flashes his sword at his foe, keeping his enemy at bay. When Bugzzy lunges forward, Sigma makes his attack. Leaping into the air, Sigma cleaves his foe in two.
Taking Over the World
Sigma's true allegiances are revealed when he shows up as part of Metal Sonic's team of malevolent machines devoted to eliminating organic life. Sigma overloads the R.O.B. units controlled by the Ancient Minister and has them kill their master.
